Our Mission.
Protecting the Protectors ensures that those who serve Victoria Police Officers, Protective Services Officers, and Police Veterans - receive the mental health care they deserve.
We raise vital funds to provide access to specialised treatment at St John of God Langmore Centre and Assistance Dogs Australia , removing financial barriers for those without private health insurance or WorkCover support.
Our Goals.
Suicide Prevention
Prevent police suicides by providing immediate access to support.
Rehabilitate the Injured
Deliver effective treatment for mental health challenges, including provision of Assistance Dogs where needed.
Protect the Future
Build resilience and create a safer, stronger future for all Officers, PSO’s and Veterans.
Our Mission is Clear:
Support our Police Officers, Protective Security Officers and Veterans, honour their service, provide advice to their families address the lasting impacts of post-traumatic stress injury. By enabling timely, professional care we help prevent lives being lost to untreated trauma.
Why We Started.
I am a current serving member with Victoria Police, and over the past few years, I have observed friends and work colleagues leaving the job due to PTSI. Some have committed suicide, whilst some are on a long waiting list of up to 18 months for PTSI treatment.
It not only affects them personally it also affects family and friends.
